1. Ultra-accuracy – P4/ABEC 7 for spindles.
For most small equipments like mini-motors, wheel gearing systems, cam gears, generators, high sensitivity servo motors, pressure rotors, printers and photocopiers, regular bearing’s precision would be good enough for uses. However, in the case of machine tool spindles, the bearing’s precision becomes to a key issue influencing the overall performance and stability. Although P5/ABEC 5 bearings are ubiquitous in Asia, level P4 and higher precision bearings are still in short supply.

2. High Performance Materials -stainless steel (9Cr18) & military high carbon chrome bearing steel (ZGCr15)

With the sharp rise in the price of stainless steel, a large number of manufacturers started seeking “shortcuts” to reduce their costs. By sintering low-grade nickel oxide, an inferior substitute -low nickel chromium iron occurs which includes 1.5~5% of Ni and 3% of Cr. In contrast with nickel sulphide ore, the nickel oxide is such a low price material, but its disadvantages are obvious, such as high slag, coke level (sometimes even over 1,000Kg) and dust pollution etc. These negative qualities will bring many unavoidable consequences to the clients, and may also result in serious damage to the machines and finished goods.
As the pursuer of product quality, RHD uses the top stainless steel materials (NiGCr18) and military high carbon chrome bearing steel (ZGCr15) with great resistant of corrosion types, acids and alkalines. It is able to protect bearings from serious corrosion and wear under rough operating conditions. With superb apabilities and corrosion resistance, our high precision bearings have been a great choice for a large range of machine tools.
3. High speed, low noise & friction with low working temperature:

The bearing’s rolling speed is limited to a certain range due to the constraint of the highest permissible working temperature of the bearing components and its lubricant. In other words, under a pre-defined working temperature, the bearing’s maximum rotating speed will certainly depend on the heat generation and dissipation during the operation. That also means the lubricant’s quality and selected materials truly have significant impact upon the bearing’s maximum speed.For instance, a bearing’s top speed can achieve 100,000 rpm when adopting fuel-air mixture as the lubricant (such material is able to take away the heat by self-evaporation) whereas 40,000 rpm might be its higher boundary if it’s lubricated by grease.
In this regard RHD uses dedicated spindle grease for the long lubricating of the super high-speed machine tool spindle bearings. It’s made of the compound barium thickening agent and low-viscosity synthetic ester oil, with the refined low-viscous white grease additives for anti-oxidation, anti-rust and corrosion-resistance. This low-torque lubrication is mainly adopted for high-speed rolling bearings which could significantly reduce the temperature of the bearing and therefore enhance the product service life. Apart from this, RHD also takes seriously the selection of cage materials. The cage is a crucial component of bearings and therefore its material has great impact on the highest affordable working temperature. We have adopted a composite material called fiberglass PA66 with excellent tensile-strength, flexural modulus and impact-resistance. As an improved polymer material, it has the advantages of being lightweight, high strength, wear-resistant and agingresistant. Such material based cages are able to work well under -50℃ and 120℃ conditions for long periods of time or at 120℃-150℃ temperature for a short run.
